Valles Calchaquíes

Valles Calchaquíes

The Calchaquí Valleys open from the South between Tafi del Valle in Tucuman and the town of Alemania to the Northwest (over road 68 between Salta and Cafayate) and La Poma in the Northeast (over road 40, north of Cachi).

From the Forest to the Puna, the different sceneries reveal the thousand-faces from the Argentinean North area, a region where nature and culture are in harmony.

The Calchaquí Valleys have a local gastronomy represented by empanadas, tamales, humita and goat met.

Only 20 km away from Cafayate starts the Quebrada de las Conchas where multicolor mountains, incredible forms, red tones attract the eye of the visitor. It is recommendable to take pictures in the La Yesera, Los Castillos, Las Ventanas, Anfiteatro and La Garganta del Diablo.
